Class: Hoops Skills Co-Ed Ages 8-12
ALLEY-OOP PARENT & CHILD – Ages 2-4 (co-ed)
This class provides an introduction to the game of basketball in a fun environment, stimulating interest and a love for the game. We use age appropriate baskets and basketballs. Fundamental skills include: running, skipping, hopping, back pedal or walk, catch, pass, ball handling, dribbling, shooting and defense.
ALLEY-OOP HOOPGIRLZ – Ages 5-7 & 8-12
Welcome to our beginner friendly basketball class for girls. In our years of coaching experience, we have found that girls learn differently than boys and often times aren’t willing to ask questions if they are outnumbered in a co-ed class. This class provides girls an open court to experiment without judgment, to learn through mistakes, and receive relentless encouragement from the coach and their peers.
ALLEY-OOP HOOP SKILLS – Ages 5-7 & 8-12 (co-ed)
Be introduced to the game of basketball or sharpen up your skills. We focus on teaching the fundamentals such as ball handling, shooting, defense and agility. By improving their fundamentals we help players make the connection to the 4 keys of the game: Communication, Awareness, Timing, Spacing. This will help when players begin playing scrimmages and games. Players will also learn sportsmanship and life skills!
ALLEY-OOP HOOP SKILLS – Ages 13-18 (co-ed)
A professional coach will lead players in how to develop and discipline themselves in basketball individually, and how to use those skills as a group to achieve a team goal. Players will practice different drills such as dribbling, layups, shooting, defense and will work on moving with and without the ball to increase their agility as well as strength. Players will apply their skills to team concepts and games to make sure everyone understands how to play together and help each other. Players will also learn valuable life skills!
